One pull. That's the whole test.
No rollers, no straps. The app walks you through a single acceleration run and turns GPS speed into a full power curve.
Plug in a GPS receiver
A small USB GPS receiver (10 Hz or faster) is all the hardware you need. A one-time calibration maps speed to RPM — no OBD cable, no wiring into the car.
Do one guided pull
The app coaches every phase: steady speed, full throttle to redline, then clutch in and coast. Speed, RPM and wheel power update live as you drive.
Read crank power
The coast-down measures your rolling and aero losses — measured, not guessed. Results are weather-corrected and grossed up for FWD, RWD or AWD.
A chart you can hand to a customer.
Every run exports a branded, fixed-resolution chart with peaks, conditions and the correction standard — ready for an offer, a build thread or a customer chat.

Prove the gains.
Overlay any two saved runs. The reference dims, peak labels keep out of each other's way, and the difference your tune made is right there.

Physics, not estimates.
Built on the same measurement principles as established road dynos — measured on your car, corrected to industry standards.
Kinetic energy method
Power is derived from how fast the car accelerates its own mass — taken straight from raw GPS ground speed, not from OBD estimates.
Measured drivetrain losses
The coast-down phase records your car's actual rolling and aerodynamic drag. Accurate measurement of losses allows us to obtain the real result of the engine's power and torque.
Weather correction standards
Air temperature and pressure are corrected to DIN 70020, SAE J1349, EWG 80/1269 or ISO 1585 — so a January run compares fairly with a July one.

Before you ask
Which GPS receiver do I need?
Good-quality, u-blox-based USB GPS receivers — 10 Hz minimum, 20/25 Hz recommended. They plug into a USB port and cost from about €30. Receivers with an external antenna are highly recommended.
How close is it to a roller dyno?
It uses the same physics established road dynos are built on. Enter the right vehicle weight, calibrate the ratio once, and your runs are repeatable and directly comparable — which is exactly what you need to judge a tune.
Does it need the internet?
Only for activation. ECUPlex Dyno works without internet — runs are files on your own disk and everyday use is entirely offline. A connection is needed only once, when you activate your license.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes — the free demo runs the complete flow in simulation mode: setup, live pull, losses, results and exports. A license only unlocks the real GPS input.
